Engagement state overview

A user’s Engagement State tells us how recently and frequently the user has been active. The four Engagement States are defined as follows:

Newbie: New people who have used your app on only one day within the last P days.

Passersby: Newbies that have not returned within the last P days.

Engaged: People who have used your app on multiple days and at least once in the last D days.

Dormant: Previously Engaged people who have not used the app in D days or more.

            Where P represents the Passersby Delay and

                      D represents the Dormant Delay
